Myles founded the first GMI (Grace Ministries International) church in Wharton, Texas in 1991. His main focus is building the GMI churches through building its leadership. He also travels nationally and internationally, as the main mission thrust of GMI. Myles’ ability to grasp Biblical principles and transfer them in a practical, motivating, and challenging way is one of the reasons he is a sought-after teacher and mentor. He is a spiritual father and pastor to pastors around the world, equipping them to be effective in their call and ministry.
Many of these pastors pushed him to develop training for parents, after seeing his children so devoted to God and God’s call on their lives. This became the “Kingdom Families” teaching which has been used by hundreds of churches in the U.S., and has been translated into various languages in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Myles has also developed a number of other training materials and training weekends that are being used nationally and internationally by churches and church networks.
Myles and his wife, Sallie, have been married 37 years, and she is the love of his life. He has five children, all actively serving the Lord, and six grandchildren.
Jim is the senior pastor of GCF Fort Worth in Hurst, Texas (Fort Worth area). He and his wife Katie live in Colleyville. They have three married children living in the Houston area. Their son James and his wife Brenna have two boys; David and his wife Jodi have two girls; and their daughter Mary and her husband Kyle are expecting a little girl.
Jim grew up in a Christian home and gave his life to the Lord in 1971 at 19. He sensed the Lord calling him to ministry in the local church and left law school in 1973, joining his church staff in 1974. Together with Katie, Jim has led small groups, provided family and marriage counseling, and worked to extend God’s grace to others. Jim and his family moved to south Dallas in 1981 to work with others as an outreach to those in the area. Jim’s passion is to help and encourage others to come into all God has for them. Together, they work to strengthen marriages and see children grow up in a positive, Godly environment.
